Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the relative weight for the four sources of information distortion in a supply chain and also suggest how Korean firms surveyed respond to these sources. For this purpose, we selected four different industries i.e. electronic, fashion, distribution, and food industry. In addition, we analyzed with ANOVA whether there is a difference in weights among four different industries. This study shows that the most important source of information distortion in distribution industry is price fluctuation. Meanwhile the main source in the other industries is the updating of demand forecast. This study also suggests that we need to adopt the different method depending on different types of industries to reduce the effect of information distortion.
