Abstract
This paper sought to investigate the generation process of "Shinbaram" (a Korean concept of collective enthusiasm and spiritedness) and methods for its systematic utilization—a topic whose importance has long been emphasized yet has not been the subject of systematic research. This paper defines Shinbaram as "a type of socio-psychological energy arising from a distinctive sense of unity among organizational members" and seeks to identify its causal origins within the dual socio-psychological structure of Korean people. Furthermore, it proposes specific measures for systematically harnessing Shinbaram in business organizations through a "Shinbaram Management Model." This management model consists of a four-stage management cycle operating at the organizational, task, and individual behavior levels, and presents the fundamental management methods that Korean business organizations should implement for the creation of Shinbaram. Additionally, this paper discusses the theoretical and practical implications embedded in this management model.
