Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of individual characteristics on life within teams. Specifically, it examined the process through which individuals' self-efficacy, social skills, and collectivism orientation lead to team switching intention and turnover intention through team-level attitudes, namely perceived team support. The results showed that self-efficacy and social skills have significant effects on the formation of perceived team support, and perceived team support directly affects both team switching intention and turnover intention. Furthermore, perceived team support was found to indirectly affect turnover intention through team switching intention. These findings make a theoretical contribution by broadening the scope of antecedent variables of perceived team support and by demonstrating the precise process of employees' turnover decisions within teams. Through discussion and deliberation, detailed discussions were provided regarding this study's contributions, limitations, and future research directions.
