Abstract
This study aimed to examine the negative effects of organizational innovation cynicism in the process of organizational innovation. As individual response behaviors to organizational innovation efforts, exit, voice, loyalty, and neglect behaviors in the innovation process were selected. Accordingly, hypotheses were established regarding the influence of organizational innovation cynicism on these behaviors through the mediation of innovation resistance. A survey was administered to employees of domestic firms that had pursued or were currently pursuing management innovation. Based on the collected data, covariance structure analysis was conducted to test the hypotheses. The analysis results showed that organizational innovation cynicism, mediated by innovation resistance, had a significant positive effect on exit and neglect behaviors, and a significant negative effect on voice and loyalty behaviors. Based on these research findings, the theoretical and practical implications, limitations, and future research directions were presented.
