Abstract
This study aims to demonstrate through empirical data that charismatic leadership and instrumental leadership are, at the very least, not mutually exclusive. Data were collected primarily from school teachers. The collected data were analyzed through multi-group simultaneous factor analysis and homogeneity coefficient analysis. The results of the statistical analysis confirmed that in both the group perceiving high charisma and the group perceiving low charisma, the factor structures of instrumental leadership dimensions—initiating structure and consideration—were very stable and identical. Additionally, the research results showed that the perceived instrumental leadership dimensions were highly homogeneous. This indicates that charismatic leadership and instrumental leadership are, at least, not mutually exclusive. The significance and limitations of the study are discussed at the end of the paper.
