Abstract

This paper implements a procedure for determining the optimal procurement quantities and inventory levels of repairable spare parts that are simultaneously procured during weapons system acquisition, in order to resolve the problems and questions that arise when attempting to apply research on multi-echelon inventory management models in practice. First, related studies were classified according to the system characteristics proposed by the researchers, and considerations and directions for improvement in the process of applying them to actual systems were presented to enable further extension. The system in the experimental example consists of a base support echelon comprising several bases each equipped with their own maintenance facilities, a depot resource echelon with limited maintenance and supply capabilities, and an echelon responsible for production and supply.
