Abstract

As information resource management in heterogeneous distributed computing environments becomes increasingly complex, the ability to coordinate and control such information resources is regarded as a key success factor for effective information resource management. By utilizing an integrated control architecture, enterprise information resources can be managed more efficiently, impact analyses resulting from changes in information resources can be performed, and manual labor can be reduced through the automation of key information resource controls. This paper presents a conceptual framework and a metadata model for an integrated control architecture.
